How do you think you benefitted from the experience?
“I have benefited massively from going to Nepal, I have become more confident in my ability to communicate with people and in particular with starting to learn and understand more sign language. I have become more appreciative of everything in my life and I have been shown that you really do not need a lot to be happy and rich.”
What did you like about the VoluntEars programme?
“I liked the mix of hearing and deaf people on the programme, it ensured that everyone was always inclusive and deaf aware which is something that is not often experienced in normal daily living.
